V           HEALTH HAZARD INFORMATION


 

 

Threshold Limit Value (TLV): OSHA/PEL for insoluble Mo compounds is 15 mg/m3. TLV for Mo and it’s insoluble Mo compounds (as Mo) is 10 mg/m3.

 

Effects of Over Exposure: Insoluble molybdenum compounds cause only transient irritation of mucous membranes. Persons with obstructive airway diseases may suffer aggravation of symptoms from Mo2C dust. Insoluble molybdenum compounds have low oral toxicity. Not classified as a primary skin irritant. No data available on long term affects.

 

EMERGENCY AND FIRST AID PROCEDURES:

 

EYE: Flush with water for at least 15 minutes.

SKIN: Flush with soap and water.

INHALATION: Remove to fresh air.

INGESTION: Induce vomiting.
