V           HEALTH HAZARD INFORMATION

Effects of Exposure:

To the best of our knowledge the chemical, physical and toxicological properties of iridium chloride have not been thoroughly investigated and reported. Exposure to iridium compounds may cause irritation to the eyes or respiratory tract. Toxicity of iridium is not known. It is predicted to have toxicity similar to osmium and platinum, two members of the same group. The chloride ion generally has a very low toxicity.

Acute Effects:

Inhalation: Irritant

Ingestion: No data

Skin: Irritant

Eye: Irritant

Chronic Effects: No data

Sensitization: No sensitizing effects known.
