Characteristics:
Yellow, ductile metal, relatively soft, does not
corrode in air, but is tarnished by sulfur. Chemically
nonreactive and nontoxic; attacked by chlorine and
cyanide solutions in presence of oxygen. Soluble in
aqua regia; insoluble in acids. Excellent reflector of
infrared and heat. Extremely high light reflectivity.
Nontoxic.
