MATERIAL OVERVIEW

Characteristics: Bluish-white, lead-like solid. Oxidizes in air at room temperature. Soluble in nitric and sulfuric acids. Insoluble in water, but readily forms soluble compounds when exposed to air or water.

Hazards: Forms toxic compounds on contact with moisture. Keep from contact with skin. Tolerance (as Tl) for soluble salts, 0.1 mg/m3 of air.
