Effects of Exposure:
To the best of our knowledge the chemical, physical and toxicological properties of rhodium oxide have not been thoroughly investigated and reported.
Acute Effects:
Inhalation: May cause irritation
Ingestion: No data
Skin: May cause irritation
Eye: May cause irritation
Chronic Effects: Inhalation of rhodium compounds may cause respiratory irritation and respiratory sensitization.
Carcinogenicity: Not classifiable as a human carcinogen; inadequate data on which to classify the agent in terms of it's carcinogenicity in humans and/or animals.
EMERGENCY AND FIRST AID PROCEDURES:
INHALATION: Remove patient from area of exposure to fresh air. Contact a physician.
INGESTION: Contact a physician immediately.
SKIN: Flush with soap and water for 15 minutes. If irritation persists consult physician.
EYE: Flush eyes with water for at least 15 minutes. Contact a physician.

Precautions to Be Taken in Handling and Storage: Store in cool dry place. Keep tightly sealed when not in use. Read MSDS before using.
Work Practices: Implement engineering and work practice controls to reduce and maintain concentration of exposure. Use good housekeeping and sanitation practices. Do not use tobacco or food in work area. Wash thoroughly before eating or smoking. Do not blow dust off clothing or skin with compressed air. Maintain eyewash capable of sustained flushing, safety drench shower and facilities for washing.
Labeling: In compliance with OSHA and NFPA requirements.
